My friend and I drove to Decatur, Michigan this weekend to Oak Shores Campgrounds. This was a short trip, only 115 miles. The campground was in a very remote area and surrounded by the Knickerbocker Lake. This is a large campground with many permanent sites. It’s open from April to October. There were a lot of amenities, including bath house, showers, laundry, a cafe that served dinner, pool, store, and dump station. We had water and electrical hook ups too and the site was in a shady area and had a fire pit, too. I had a coupon for 2 free nights, and might come back because it was quiet. We had great weather until Saturday night when it rained. Not back since the forecast called for rain all weekend. See the next posts for our excursions!
