A few days ago. I fell in love with the white look in the van projects that I’ve seen on the Internet. It’s a clean and modern look that is totally my style (remember, I’m an Urban Girl who loves Mid Century Modern). With white beadboard ceilings that I love, I am thinking about painting the cabinets white on the outside and use a clear coat on the inside to show off the beautiful birch grain. Why paint Baltic birch plywood? Because it’s plywood, not some exotic hard wood. I will probably paint the boxes but not really sure. I don’t think it’s necessary but I might just clear coat them.
That being said, I am playing with the idea to paint one side of the van wall white as well. I’ll ask Tim, my RV guy to see what he thinks. I hope his eyes don’t pop out of his head after all of the work they did. I will use the non-stinky paint because I want to use as few chemicals as possible.
