Moving day 1- finish work and loading up the van

5/20 The rain stopped me from doing any work on the van this week and the sun is finally out this morning. There is still a lot of work that has to be done on the van before I move in. My sister and bro-in-law are coming over today to help load it up and move things out of the storage unit. I’m off work until next Tuesday and should have everything moved by then.

The bed frame needs to be attached to the platform and the mattress installed. The shelves in the new counter are pretty rough and will have to be finished.

The rear door panels need to be painted and installed, and the floor is dirty from the rain. Turns out that the side door is still leaking and it’s not from the seal. Apparently, the door is out of alignment and will have to be repaired.

The water jugs need to be installed in the sink cabinet and secured. Hopefully, there will be room to store cleaning supplies and pots/pans. I’ll add handles to the front doors.

The toilet box needs to be finished with the interior fixtures. That means a bucket, compost material, bags, funnel, lines, and bottle. I ordered a pee bottle from a medical supply company and hope it turns up someday. In the meantime, I’ll have to use milk jugs.

I am also going to LabCorp to get an antibody test for COVID-19. If I test positive, I may be immune for the next round (yes, it will come back).

So that’s my to do list for today. I will be shocked if everything fits.
