03/28/21 When I wrote this title, I was faced with clothing literally bursting at the seams. They were everywhere; on the walls, in the cabinet, tote boxes and now in a bag on my bed! Enough is enough! One morning I decided to tackle this seemingly daunting project, and it was daunting. After a couple of hours sorting through them, letting go was not as bad as I thought it would be. I found a lot of items that I wanted to keep: a poncho from Ecuador, a stuffed flamingo and some silver jewelry that I didn’t know was in the bag. Whew! Glad I saw that. A large trash bag was filled and I happily drove it down to the local thrift store. YAY! Now I had my whole bed to myself. One of my friends at the resort gave me a cargo net storage thingy that I promptly installed at the base of my bed just under the cabinets. Now I have room to store items that keep falling off their perches in one spot.
I wish I could be more minimalist, but it is hard letting go of things that I made. But, some of them did go to the thrift store and I felt no pain. It’s going to take a while, but I wish I had some kind of trailer that I can just hook up and take my stuff with me. This way, I would have a more minimalist van but access to the items I need. Let me know what you think. Any good ideas for trailer/storage?
These ears are perked and waiting to hear from you!
