12/29/21 I hope you had a peaceful holiday! Yep, I finally made it! After about 2000 miles and 7 states, I made my way past the Gulf Coast and into the Florida panhandle. I will be workamping here for the winter and am really excited about being in warmer weather. One of my sisters lives in Florida, and I know about a dozen people who are here that I met working in Yellowstone. It will be a great reunion!
So much to do, so little time. Well, not really. I’ll be here until the end of March and that should give me time to explore and check off places on my bucket list. Some will be hits, some misses, but I will chalk if all off to experience.
The van held up very well, but will need some attention other than engine maintenance. The kitchen cabinet got a bit water logged and I hope that my fix in ND holds up until I decide what to do. Other than that, everything is working and looking OK. I have a list of things that need upgrading and finishing and hope to accomplish this while I’m here.
I’m looking forward to working at the campground and the owners are super nice! This is a quiet place off the main road, not like other campgrounds where you can hear traffic all of the time. And it’s dark! Love it! Going to do as much star gazing as weather allows, and in northern Florida, it won’t be as hot as the southern part of the state, hopefully.
