I had to stay in SoCal until the day of my doctor appointment, and booked a couple of nights at Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park. I really liked this campground. It’s on a reservoir with beautiful views. There’s all kinds of sites and some without electric for those who want to camp on the beach.
What I didn’t appreciate was that I had to pay for showers and it only took quarters for like 3 minutes at a time. And the dressing area was completely open! When I went to the office, the man told me to go to the equestrian lot where the showers were free and more private. He asked me not to tell anyone. Ha! In spite of that, it is still one of my favorite campgrounds.
I saw my orthopedic surgeon for my last follow up appointment and my hand looked great! As of now, the swelling has gone down and my fingers don’t hurt as much. YAY! I sold the 2200 watt generator that has been taking up so much room in the garage. I also filed my income taxes, which was a great relief. I have to admit that I was sad to leave the area.
